Oona Meadowvale Marks Oona Wellness Group's First Franchise Clinic at 7145 West Credit Avenue

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Sept. 17, 2026 — Oona Wellness Group has opened its first franchise clinic in Mississauga, bringing the multidisciplinary model it has spent nine years building in Toronto and Newmarket to a new community for the first time.
Oona Meadowvale opened September 1 at 7145 West Credit Avenue. It is Oona’s third Greater Toronto Area clinic and is owned and operated by Dr. Dharani Nimal, a chiropractor who has been part of Oona’s Toronto team since 2023.
“When I started Oona, I wasn’t thinking about franchising. I was thinking about why someone who was pregnant or newly postpartum had to run all over the city to get the care they needed, because I had done it myself and it was exhausting,” said Dr. Sarah Mickeler, founder and CEO of Oona Wellness Group. “We built Oona to change that. Dharani already knows this model from the inside, and now she gets to build it in a community that needs it. Honestly, that’s exactly how I hoped Oona would grow.”
Oona Meadowvale brings together chiropractic care, pelvic floor and orthopaedic physiotherapy, registered massage therapy, lactation consulting, naturopathic medicine, psychotherapy and social work. Care spans fertility, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, pelvic health, infant feeding, paediatric care and peri/menopause.
For Dr. Nimal, opening the clinic is also about making that care easier to get to.
“Some families are driving into the city for this kind of care with a newborn in the back seat, and that’s a lot to ask,” said Nimal. “Pregnancy, postpartum and caring for a baby already come with enough questions without having to figure out where to go for every different piece of care. I wanted to build something closer to home where people understand what we’re doing and why, and where the practitioners involved in their care can actually talk to each other.”
Dr. Nimal is Webster certified and has additional training in pregnancy, postpartum and paediatric chiropractic care, including the Paediatric Intraoral Palate Specific technique. Her approach centres on patient education and helping people understand not only what their treatment involves, but why it is being recommended.
The Meadowvale clinic serves Mississauga and surrounding communities including Streetsville, Oakville, Milton, Brampton, Caledon and north Etobicoke. Free parking is available on site.
Patients do not need to know exactly which practitioner they need before they contact Oona. A free 20-minute Care Navigator call gives them a chance to talk through what is going on and get help choosing the right place to start.
No referral is required to book at Oona, and direct insurance billing is available whenever possible.
